Four Wayne County girls basketball players have inked to play college ball next year.
Shameka Russell and Tamara Reed are headed to four-year schools, while Teanna Carter and Marquisha Loper will play for Junior Colleges.
Russell (Forward) signed with Southeastern Louisiana, while Reed (Guard) will go to Delta State.
Carter is also staying in Mississippi, joining the Lady Bobcats of Jones County Junior College in 2008. Loper will play her next two years in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at Shelton State Community College.
Wayne County lost to Gentry in the semifinals this year after winning the Class 4A state title in 2006.
