Dyess Takes Over Philadelphia Football Program

Posted: Sat 12:13 PM, May 05, 2007

Philadelphia High School was quick to name a replacement for head football coach Brian Anderson, and the Tornadoes secured a proven winner.

Lumberton's Teddy Dyess will fill Anderson's shoes next season, after he announced on April 11 that he was leaving for Grenada High School. Dyess spent 6 seasons with the Panthers. He leaves Lumberton with a 66-11 record, 4 division championships, 2 south state titles, and 2 state championships.

The school board will have to approve the hire on Tuesday.
