Cody Neer blasted two home runs to help Florida beat Alabama 6-2 Friday.
Neer homered in the second and forth innings. He also singled up the middle in the fifth inning. Jon Townsend tripled down the right field line in the fifth and later scored. He recorded two hits and one RBI for Florida (24-23, 11-11 Southeastern Conference).
Matt Bentley scored Alabama's first run in the forth inning when Jake Smith flied out to center field. Brandon May got the only other run for Alabama (26-21, 10-12) in the eighth inning. He scored when Brandon Belcher flied out to left field.
Florida's Kyle Mullaney (3-1) pitched 7.1 innings for the win and David Hurst picked up the save. Losing pitcher Tommy Hunter (5-4) also spent 7.1 innings on the mound.
