Trey Cuevas drove in four runs, four players had three hits and Southern Miss set season highs in hits and runs during an 18-3 win over Marshall Saturday.

Three home runs and 18 hits, including 10 for extra bases, helped Southern Miss to its third straight Conference U-S-A series victory.

The Golden Eagles got three hits apiece from Brian Dozier, Jody Blount, James Ewing and Drew Carson.

Cuevas, Dozier and Trey Sutton hit home runs.

The Golden Eagles had six runs each in the fourth and fifth innings.

Barry Bowden won his fifth straight game in conference play for Southern Miss, giving up three runs on eight hits with six strikeouts and two walks.

The Thundering Herd's starter, Andrew Blain, picked up the loss after giving up eight runs on nine hits and walking seven.
