Florida Downs Crimson Tide

Austin Pride, Jonathan Pigott and Jon Townsend all homered in Florida's 9-3 victory over Alabama today.

The Gators (25-23, 12-11 SEC) clinched their fourth series win over the Crimson Tide (26-22, 10-13) in the last five years.

Bryan Augenstein (5-5) allowed two runs and five hits through eight innings for Florida, striking out 10.

The Tide's Miers Quigley (4-5) lost his fifth consecutive start, a stretch when Alabama hitters have managed a total of 10 runs in support.

Quigley (4-5) gave up five runs and seven hits in 4.2 innings with two walks, two hit batters and two wild pitches.

Kyle Moore had a career-high three hits for the Tide. Matt Bentley hit a solo homer.
