West Leads State Championship Series 1-0

The West Lauderdale Knights pulled off a 6-5 win over Terry Saturday night at Trustmark Park to take a 1-0 lead in the best of 3 series.

West was first to score after a 2-run homer by Paxton Pace in the bottom of the 1st. They would add 3 more runs before the Bulldogs got on the board.

By the 6th inning, Terry had tied the game up at 5. A suicide squeeze in the bottom of the 6th by Ricky Gardner gave the Knights the go-ahead run.
