David Price was perfect for six innings and Vanderbilt held on for a 3 to 2 victory over Mississippi State in an elimination game of the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
Price struck out 11 and didn't walk anybody in a complete-game five-hitter.
Centerfielder David Macias saved a run by gunning down a base runner at the plate in the seventh inning.
Mississippi State fell to 33 and 20 and will have to wait until Monday to see if it receives a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
