The NJCAA National Golf Championship has come to a close and Meridian Community College finished in 3rd place.
The Eagles jumped 7 spots from the first round, but were unable to catch up to Darton (Ga.) College. The Cavaliers finished the tournament 18 strokes under par.
South Mountain (Ariz.) Community College was the only other team to finish under par. The Cougars were -6 for the tournament. MCC shot a final round 295 to finish at +21 and take home the bronze.
It is the 3rd straight year that the Eagles have finished this tournament in the Top 5.
Dustin Petit finished 2nd overall in individual scoring at -8. He and teammate Justin Eaves were selected to the All-American and All-Tournament teams.
