Former Lamar Coach Found Dead

Former Lamar High School (Meridian, Miss.) basketball coach, Mark Bryan, was found dead Tuesday in the gymnasium at Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg.

Officials say he may have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His death is under investigation.

Eyewitnesses told The Hattiesburg American newspaper that Bryan went to the boys locker room around 8 a.m.

An autopsy was ordered. Results may be available Wednesday.

Bryan had been at Presbyterian Christian for four years and had recently accepted a position as an assistant coach at Jackson Prep.
