The search is over for a new men's basketball coach at East Mississippi Community College.
Mark White will take over the Lions program in 2007. He will replace Clay Armstrong, who was relieved of his coaching duties at the end of March. White comes to EMCC from Mississippi State University, where he was an assistant coach. He spent 5 years with the Bulldogs working under head coach Rick Stansbury. During that time, MSU won 3 SEC West championships.
This is White's first head coaching job at the collegiate level, although he has been in the coaching profession since 1988. He is eager to begin his own program. The Lions only have 2 returning players from last season, so White has already hit the recruiting trail.
