Alabama football coach Nick Saban is reportedly close to signing his 8-year contract, the richest in college football.
UA President Robert Witt, interviewed by the Tuscaloosa News, said the final details are being worked out. Witt and Saban are in Destin, Florida, for this week's Southeastern Conference spring meetings.
The Crimson Tide made Saban college football's highest paid coach in luring him away from the Miami Dolphins for an 8-year deal worth more than 30 million dollars in January.
Saban, in a statement, said he hopes to have the contract completed soon.
