#6 - Coaching Carousel

Back on June 4th the local football coaching carousel started to spin out of control. First West Lauderdale head coach Stan McCain decided to leave Collinsville and head to Kosciusko. Then a day later Ty Trahan left Southeast Lauderdale to take a spot at Southern Miss as a graduate assistant, and finally in early July East Central Community College head coach Steve Cheatham announced his resignation.

At West Lauderdale offensive coordinator Glen Sanders replaced McCain, he led the Knights to a division title this past season. Boo Smith took over for Trahan, and Southeast earned a playoff berth this year as well. Brian Anderson was named interim head coach at East Central and then was named to the permanent post in Decatur earlier this month.
