Local High School Assistants Promoted to Head Positions

Newton County High School will have a new girls basketball coach in the winter. Lady Cougar assistant Cory Cleveland has been promoted to head coach. He has previous experience from Enterprise High School, Noxapater and Newton High School. Cleveland replaces Willis Tullos, who will be an assistant baseball coach at Choctaw Central next season.

Jason Greene is the new head football coach at Sebastopol High School. He has been at the school for 6 years coaching at different capacities. He takes over the football program that was vacated when Chuck Maxie was released in the spring.
