The decision wasn't expected to come until November, but Northeast Lauderdale's Romero Osby has decided that he will take his game to Mississippi State.
The 6'8'' forward verbally committed to the Bulldog program Monday morning. He spent the weekend at Louisville deciding between the 2 schools, and he ultimately chose Mississippi State because it is closer to home. Scout.com has Osby ranked as the 8th best power forward in the nation. He was being recruited by schools such as Florida, North Carolina and Kansas.
The Dandy Dozen and All-State selection averaged 24 points a game for the Trojans in 2007, along with just over 11 boards and 3.5 assists. His career high in scoring came against Southeast Lauderdale when he posted 41 points.
