Hendrick Motorsports announced Friday that due to existing contractual agreements, Budweiser will not be a sponsor for Dale Earnhardt Jr. in the 2008 season.
Team owner Rick Hendrick said it was a hard decision to make, but the company wants to honor the commitments they have already made.
Little E's primary sponsor has been Budwieser since he made his debut in May 1999.
The primary sponsor for Earnhardt's car next year has not been announced, although some sources are reporting that it could be Pepsi.
