Big Easy Pushing for NFL Draft

The Big Easy is trying to give the Big Apple a run for its money.

The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation is appealing to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell to possibly move the draft to New Orleans.

The Foundation would like to turn it into a week-long event with parades similar to Mardi Gras.

The NFL Draft has taken place in New York since 1965. Next year's event is scheduled to take place at Radio City Music Hall, although the New Orleans Sports Foundation is proposing to hold it at the New Orleans Arena or the Convention Center.
