Prep Heavyweights to Meet This Fall

Believe it or not, most prep football teams will begin practice in a couple of weeks with most season openers slated for August 31.
Fans around East Mississippi might want to circle September 14 on their calendars as Wayne County will visit Ray Stadium to take on Meridian.
It will mark the first regular season meeting between the two since 2001.
The War Eagles are the defending Class 4A state champions while the Wildcats have been to the Class 5A title game the past two seasons.
