Marcus Thames on Disabled List

It was good news / bad news for Marcus Thames Wednesday night.

He made a potential game-saving diving catch to end the 8th inning of Detroit's 3-2 win over the Twins. But the Louisville native injured his left hamstring on the play. He has now been placed on the 15-day disabled list.

Thames, a former East Central Community College standout, was having a hot summer batting .252 with 11 homers and 32 RBIs.
