The South got its lone first-half touchdown on an 84-yard touchdown pass from Antione Agee of Taylorsville to DeMario Davis of Brandon early in the second quarter.
Micah Davis of Wesson, the game's offensive most valuable player, added a six-yard touchdown run with 41 seconds left to seal the win for the South.
Jeremy Lindsey of Laurel was named the game's defensive MVP.
The South now leads the series 26-24-4.
