Cardinals Overtake Atlanta in 10 Innings

Skip Schumaker hit a two-run home run and Scott Rolen added a three-run homer in the tenth inning to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 7-2 win over Atlanta.

Schumaker is 17-for-33 in July and increased his batting average to .315. His homer came off Braves loser Tyler Yates, who is 2-2.

The Cardinals had tied it at 2 in the eighth when Albert Pujols hit his 22nd home run, a solo shot off reliever Rafael Soriano.

Jason Isringhausen picked up the win with four strikeouts in two perfect innings. He's 4-0.
