NCAA Needs More from Powe

The waiting continues for Jerrell Powe this weekend.

Just when he thought all of the coursework and paperwork was complete to play college football, the NCAA has decided they need more information.

Powe's attorney, Don Jackson, said he received a three-page email Friday from the NCAA claiming they need more documentation on Powe's grades at Wayne County High School.

The NCAA says they are curious why Powe's grades improved so significantly this spring considering his previous transcript.

Jackson feels as though they are trying to keep his client off the field.

Powe originally signed with Ole Miss in 2005 and has been trying to meet academic requirements since.
