The almost 3 year admissions saga concerning Wayne County's Jerrell Powe might soon be over, and the UM he could be wearing on his jersey might not stand for the University of Mississippi.
Canesport.com is reporting that Powe is close to signing with the Miami Hurricanes. Joe Barnett, a family friend of Powe's, is quoted on the website as saying there is a 90 percent chance that Powe will have things sorted out in the next 36 hours.
Powe's attorney, Don Jackson, has not commented on the situation although he has previously stated that he feels as though Ole Miss has been stringing his client along.
Powe signed with the Rebels in 2005 and 2006, but never enrolled because of academic ineligibility.
