Ole Miss has accepted two high-profile football recruits despite the players' academic issues.
The school announced Thursday night defensive lineman Jerrell Powe and linebacker Chris Strong have been admitted.
Strong, a Parade All-American from South Panola, was admitted but needs to get his grades up.
Powe, a former Wayne County standout, signed with Ole Miss two years ago but failed to meet academic requirements. He has signed his scholarship papers and was admitted to school, but can't play football unless he is certified by the NCAA.
Powe and Strong will be allowed to practice a maximum 14 days until they are certified.
