The Meridian High School cheerleaders are hoping to reinstate a former tradition in Meridian.
The 16 members of this year's squad are hosting a camp this weekend for girls Kindergarden age up to 7th grade. It has been about 5 years since MHS has held a camp like this, but the team is hoping to once again spread interest to younger girls.
Cheers, chants, jumps and dance are among the things the Wildcats cheerleaders will be teaching this weekend.
Junior Camp (Grades 5-7)
Friday, August 17
4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Elementary Camp (Grades K-4)
Saturday, August 18
9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Registration is $15, and can be done either the day of or by pre-registration. Forms are available at Judge Little, Belle G, Little Caesars, The Paint Store at North Hills, Funky Monkey, MPSD Schools, The Liberty Shop and John Hodge Orthodontics.
