Matt Diaz homered twice and the Atlanta Braves picked up another game in the NL East race by downing Florida 7-4.
Diaz belted a two-run shot that snapped a two-all tie in the third inning. He added a solo homer in the fourth to make it 5-3.
Yunel Escobar led off the game with a homer and scored three times as the Braves pulled within five games of the first-place New York Mets.
The three homers came off Dontrelle Willis, who also homered but allowed six runs over five and a-third to fall to 8-14. The lefty has won just one of his last 17 starts.
Buddy Carlyle gave up two homers but just two other hits over five innings to move to 8-5.
Rafael Soriano retired four batters for his sixth save.
Dan Uggla homered for the Marlins, who've dropped 13 of their last 15.
