Hill's aunt said the cause of his death was not immediately known. She answered the phone at his mother's home in LaGrange, Georgia.
The 41-year-old Hill was a football star at LaGrange High and was a defensive tackle at Auburn from 1984 to 1987.
Hill was drafted in the sixth round by the Packers as a defensive end in 1988.
