Henig Has Surgery

There's good news concerning Mississippi State quarterback Michael Henig.

The junior quarterback had surgery on his injured right throwing hand Sunday and is hoping to be back in two weeks when the Bulldogs travel to South Carolina.

As for now, true freshman Wesley Carroll is expected to get the start this weekend when State plays host to Division One-Double-A Gardner Webb.

With a win, the Bulldogs would have their first three-game winning streak under head coach Sylvester Croom.
