Nick Saban grew up watching West Virginia football and basketball games.
Now, he's got to face his boyhood team. Saban and No. 2 Alabama play the Mountaineers Saturday in Atlanta.
The West Virginia native says going to Mountaineer football games as a boy "was like the highlight of my year."
He'll have family and friends traveling to the game, including U.S. Senator and former West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin.
Manchin says the Mountaineers opting not to offer the undersized Saban a scholarship was "the biggest mistake WVU ever made." Saban wound up playing baseball and football at Kent State.
Manchin says this game is one instance where he'll be rooting against Saban.
Saban's sister, Dianna Thompson, says it's a "no brainer" who she'll be pulling for. Says Thompson: "Roll Tide."
