In anticipation of Saturday’s predicted near-freezing temperatures, East Mississippi Community College has moved up its home baseball doubleheader against East Central Community College one day to Friday. A nine-inning first game is slated to begin at 3 p.m. Friday, followed by a seven-inning nightcap at EMCC’s Gerald Poole Field on the Scooba campus.
In another home schedule adjustment, EMCC’s rescheduled Monday (March 4) home softball doubleheader versus Southwest Mississippi Community College is now slated to begin at 3 p.m. at the EMCC Softball Field on the Scooba campus.
Coach Chris Rose’s EMCC Lions own a 7-7 overall mark for the season after being swept, 10-0 and 7-2, at Hinds Community College Wednesday afternoon in Raymond.
The EMCC Lady Lions, guided by first-year head coach Kyndall White, are now 4-6 on the year after being swept, 14-5 and 9-3, at Copiah-Lincoln Community College Wednesday afternoon in Wesson. The Lady Lions travel to Poplarville for a 3 p.m. Friday softball twin bill against the Lady Wildcats of Pearl River Community College.
