The EMCC basketball teams tipped off the second half of the MACJC North Division regular-season slate by sweeping Holmes Thursday night at Keyes T. Currie Coliseum in Scooba.
The Lady Lions, now 5-13 and 3-4, won their second division game in a row with a 59-47 victory. The Lions, now 12-6 and 5-2, snapped a two-game losing slid by claiming a 77-52 win over the Bulldogs.
For the EMCC men, former Noxubee County product Earnest Hunter registered his first collegiate double-double by posting career highs of 22 points (7-7 FGs) and 13 rebounds.
