EMCC Moves Season Opener to Saturday, Cancels Pep Rally

EMCC fans will have to wait to watch longer their Lions defend their NJCAA number one ranking... for two day, that is. Threats of inclement weather from approaching tropical storm Issac pushed the Pearl River match-up from Thursday to this Saturday, Sept. 1, at Sullivan-Windham field in Scooba, MS. Kick-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Most game day activities will continue as planned. However, the "Meet the Lions" pep rally scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 29, has been cancelled, though it may be re-scheduled for another time.
