Five Local Players in MAIS All-Star Football Championship

Head football coach Robert Roberts of Newton County Academy has been given the honor of head coach to lead the South's team match up against the North for the M.A.I.S. All-Star Game set for this Friday at 4pm at Mississippi College in Clinton.
This coaching honor was voted on by the Coaches for Area Independent Schools as well as the M.A.I.S. Football Committee.
Five local players will be spear heading the South's team for Coach Roberts.
From Newton County Academey is Dillon Williams playing positions of running back and quarterback. Also from NCA is Kizer Ables as linebacker. From Lamar School is safety, Michael Marcello. From Wayne Academy is Tyson Stanley playing running back and from Heidelburg Academy is David Lee.
Coach Roberts says, "We have 42 players for the South and match up against 42 players from the North. This is a great honor to have the opportunity to coach these talented seniors in this prestigious independent school battle. The players have been working hard to learn the plays and practicing even harder with the hopes of winning this years all-star game and we need folks to come out and help show their support for these young men."
