Former Alabama basketball player and Kemper County star Devonta Pollard has enrolled at East Mississippi Community College, and intends to play basketball this year.
A spokesperson in the EMCC athletic department confirmed the news Monday.
Pollard withdrew from Alabama in June after being charged with possible connection to a kid-napping orchestrated by his mother.
As a parade All-American, Pollard led Kemper County to a 2011-2012 state championship. The spokesperson says Head Coach Mark White is optimistic Pollard will be ready to go when the season starts.
