Four ECCC Warriors Named MACJC South All-Stars

Four East Central Community College football standouts have been selected to participate in the 39th annual MACJC All-Star Classic scheduled Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.

Warriors tapped as MACJC South Division All-Stars are wide receiver/defensive back Ricky Hunt (5-11, 180), a product of North Panola High School, defensive back Za Reese (6-1, 160) of Morton, and offensive linemen Dustin Tubby (6-2, 315) of Neshoba Central and Shaquille Patrick (6-5, 320) of Scott Central.

Hinds Community College head football coach Gene Murphy and his staff will coach the South All-Stars. Freeman Horton and his Coahoma Community College staff will direct the North squad.

The MACJC All-Star Classic features some of the state’s top JUCO players each year and serves as a springboard from community college to the next level of football competition. Numerous athletes from past All-Star Classics have continued their careers on the university level.
