Ole Miss Fead Football Coach Hugh Freeze announced linebacker and Philadelphia-native C.J. Johnson will not play against LSU this weekend because of an ankle injury.

Freshman defensive end Robert Nkemdiche will also miss the rivalry game due to a hamstring injury.

Freeze also spoke about the condition of junior linebacker Serderius Bryant. Bryant was carted off the field during Saturday's game after getting knocked out while making a tackle. The Clarion-Ledger reports Bryant suffered a concussion.

"First of all., let me talk about Serderius and the amount of support that's been poured out from not only the Rebel nation, but from the [Texas] A&M family and other families throughout our conference," said Freeze. "He was back in meetings yesterday, and he started our protocol this week of how you come back from one and we'll see how he progresses through the week."

The rebels play LSU Saturday night in Oxford. The game marks the second match in a six-game home stretch for Ole Miss.
