KCHS Player Grabs National Headlines

The long wait is over.

Kemper County All-American Devonta Pollard has finally made his college basketball intentions known.

Friday afternoon Pollard said he would be making the short trip to Tuscaloosa, to play for the University of Alabama.

The announcement ends a recruiting odyssey which saw the signing deadline come and go without Mississippi's Mr. Basketball inking with a team.

Pollard, who was a McDonald's All-American and considered a top national recruit, chose Alabama over Texas, Georgetown, and LSU.
