Local Prep Basketball Players Set for All-Star Game

The M.A.C. boys and girls high school all-star basketball games will be played Monday in Clinton, MS.

This will be the 59th renewal of the boys classic and the 49th time for the girls. East Mississippi will be represented in the girls game by a pair of local stand-outs: Meridian guard Kayla Gordon and Scott Central scoring machine Victoria Vivians.

Vivians, a three-time first team all-state selection, averaged nearly 40 points and 15 rebounds last season and led the lady rebels to a class 2-A state championship victory.

A highly recruited player, Vivians announced last month that she has narrowed her college choices down to Mississippi state, Florida, Kentucky and Louisville.
