Every July, the Jackson-based newspaper, the Clarion-Ledger, releases its "Dandy Dozen" the top twelve high school football players in Mississippi. On Monday morning, Louisville wide receiver Dontea Jones made the cut.
Jones caught 43 passes for over 700 yards and eleven touchdowns as part of a nearly unstoppable passing attack that fueled Louisville's16-0 season and 3A state championship.
With his senior year approaching, he stands at 6'4" and weighs over 200 lbs, all while possessing break-away speed. Jones gave a verbal commitment to Mississippi State in February, but that won't matter until he signs the dotted line on National Signing Day, which is still seven months away.
