The Meridian Community College Eagles have announced that it will conclude the 2014 regular season by playing a doubleheader Tuesday (May 6) at Scaggs Field. The Eagles were originally scheduled to play at 6 p.m. Tuesday night against Alabama Southern Community College, but one more game has been added to the schedule.
MCC will now play Alabama Southern at 4 p.m. and officially conclude the 2014 regular season against Shelton State Community College immediately following the conclusion of the opening game of the twin bill.
The Eagles are currently 23-24 overall after suffering a three-game sweep on the road at LSU-Eunice over the weekend. MCC is looking to bottle a little momentum Tuesday at home before opening play in the 2014 Region 23 Division I Tournament at Delgado Community College in New Orleans this weekend. MCC is set to open the tournament Friday (May 9) at noon against Baton Rouge Community College and conclude the day with a contest against Delgado at 7 p.m.
