MSU Heads to Missouri this Weekend

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Halfway through the grueling Southeastern Conference schedule, the No. 22 Mississippi State baseball team looks to rise in the standings this weekend with a three-game series at Missouri. First pitch in game one of the series is Friday at 6 p.m. CT at Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field. Saturday’s game begins at 2 p.m. CT, followed by Sunday’s series finale at 1 p.m.

The series marks the first time the two teams have battled in the regular season as SEC opponents. In their last meeting together, State defeated Mizzou at the 2013 SEC Tournament by a score of 2-1 in 17 innings on May 21. With five series left in conference play, the Maroon and White (7-8) are three games back from first-place Alabama (10-5), while the Black and Gold are four games out (6-9).
