STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's SEC Tourney Champion baseball squad learned Monday that it will be headed to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional this weekend (June 1-4). State (39-22), the No. 2 seed in the regional, will face third-seeded Samford (39-21), the Southern Conference champion, in Friday's opening round at Noon ET (11 a.m. CT).
The other two teams in the regional - top-seeded Florida State (43-15) and fourth-seeded Conference USA champ UAB (32-28) - will also square off Friday at 6 p.m. ET. The host Seminoles are the No. 3 national seed.
All games in the Tallahassee Regional will be broadcast on ESPN3.com. Saturday's second game (7 p.m. ET) will televised be on ESPN2 as well.
The winner of the double-elimination Tallahassee Regional will meet the winner of the Palo Alto Regional, being hosted by Stanford, in Super Regional play June 8-10.
The Diamond Dogs are making their 31st NCAA appearance all-time. MSU is 74-58 in NCAA play in its storied baseball history.
NCAA Tallahassee Regional Ticket Prices
Tournament passes are $50.00 for reserved seats and $35 for general admission seats. These are good for every game of the tournament. Single game reserved seats are $12.00 with general admission tickets priced at $10.00 for adults, $7.00 for youth and students. The stadium will be cleared at the end of each game.
