Meridian High School hosted to the class 6-A boys and girls south state powerlifting championships. Ten schools took part in the event.
Meridian took first place while Oak Grove finished second.
The top three finishers in each weight class advance to the 6A state championships to be held April 14th at the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson.
