The NBA announced Sunday that Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert was fined $75,000 for "using inappropriate and vulgar language" after Saturday night's post game-6 win over Miami.

The team issued a statement from Hibbert on Sunday morning in which he said he was sorry for his "insensitive remarks." Hibbert says the phrase he used isn't "appropriate in any setting, private or public" and his language "definitely has no place in a public forum, especially over live television."

After Saturday night's win, Hibbert ended a response to a question about his defense on Miami's LeBron James with "no homo." He also referred to reporters as "y'all (expletive)."

Hibbert said his statements were "disrespectful" and "offensive", noting they did not reflect his personal views.

He will play in game seven Monday against the Heat.
