(AP) -- Mississippi schools along the Gulf Coast are expected to decide whether to play football Friday night.
The Sun Herald reports that the scheduling decisions are being affected by prolonged heavy rains from Hurricane Isaac.
Ocean Springs Athletic Director Mark Hubbard said he and Moss Point Athletic Director Kevin Jackson will meet sometime Thursday to reschedule their contest at Moss Point's Dantzler Stadium.
Harrison County schools Athletic Director Mike Gavin will meet with Athletic Directors Jim Bloomfield (Vancleave), Will Seymour (Bay High) and Greg Amacker (Stone) to possibly reschedule their games.
Pascagoula Athletic Director Greg Freeman also said he plans to meet with Athletic Directors Greg Williams (St. Martin) and Tom Gladney (Biloxi) to decide two games. Gautier hosts Biloxi, while Pascagoula travels to St. Martin.
