Jackson State football coach Rick Comegy has applied for the Head Coaching job at Florida A&M University.
The Clarion-Ledger's Travis Downey says Comegy is in consideration for the job after recently being left off a list of finalists by mistake.
According to Downey, Florida A&M Athletic Director Derek Horne said the school's search committee has looked over Comegy's resume and still plans to make to a hire by january 12th. Comegy is 48-21 in seven season at Jackson State. Comegy had previously told the Clarion-Ledger that he and JSU Ahletic Director Vivian Fuller had not spoken about a contract extension.
Comegy's contract expires after the 2013 season.
