Two of Patricia Wilson's Meridian Wildcats signed to play college basketball Wednesday.

Senior Miracle Dubose is heading to Delta State while forward Kayla Gordon is head to Jacksonville University.

Gordon was last year's district MVP while leading the Wildcats in rebounding. She earned a 4.2 GPA. Dubose is a two-time all conference player who carries a 3.6 GPA.

"I picked Jacksonville because I felt that it was a great place for me," said Gordon. "I felt that I fit in and I'd be able to play there.

Dubose is equally excited about heading to the Delta.

"I loved the atmosphere when I went there [Delta State] and it seems like a great place for me to fit in and a good place for me to start my first year of college."

Both seniors said they feel the Wildcats have a date with the State Championship in the Spring. Meridian returns nine seniors to this year's team.
