FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas will put the lessons learned from a difficult game a week ago to the test this week when it hosts Southern Mississippi.
The Razorbacks (2-0) trailed in the fourth quarter last week to Samford before rallying for a 31-21 win. They did so behind running backs Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams, keeping first-year coach Bret Bielema undefeated through two games.
Bielema has stressed the importance of a strong running game since his hiring away from Wisconsin last December, and Arkansas has responded -- leading the Southeastern Conference in rushing for the first time since 2007.
The Golden Eagles (0-2), led by first-year coach Todd Monken, enter Saturday on a 14-game losing streak, the worst in the country.
