TOOMSUBA, Mississippi --- The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks is sponsoring a catfish rodeo this Saturday at Lake Tom Bailey in Toomsuba.

Thursday, officials were gearing up for the event as over 500 pounds of catfish were released into a confined area on the lake.

The rodeo is open to kids ages 15 and under at no cost, and lunch will be provided.

All of the catfish were raised at the Meridian fish hatchery.
