On this week's edition of Joel's Outdoor Adventures, Joel Payne shows us how to cook his deer chili. Here's his recipe below.
What you’ll need:
3 lbs ground deer meat or beef
3 cans mixed flavors “Bush” kidney beans
2 cans diced/stewed tomatoes
1 can Rotel tomatoes
1 small/medium onion chopped
1 pack Chili O chili mix
1 box “2 Alarm” chili mix
Optional - Chili peppers or Jalapenos
Brown meat, onion and peppers in large 10 qt pot
Add 2 Tbsp Worcestershire
Add “Nature’s Seasoning” or salt and pepper to taste.
Pour off excess fat add Budweiser if you need liquid.
Add tomatoes and beans, then simmer 15 min.
Add 2 Alarm and Chili O mix. ( I leave out Mesa pk)
Bring to boil, turn down heat, stir frequently, simmer 1 hr.
Serve in bowl, top w/ Fritos and cheese.
