The scripture, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me," found in Philippians 4:13 is a scripture Andrea says she takes to heart.
Andrea grew up in the small community of Pulaski, Mississippi where she attended the Raleigh Public School System.
Upon graduating from high school in 1993, Andrea attended Jackson State University. There she majored in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism.
The semester before her senior year, Andrea studied abroad at the University of Ghana in West Africa. It was there that she says she realized how truly blessed she is, and how happiness cannot be found in outside things or people, but only within one's self.
Prior to coming to WTOK, Andrea worked as a radio news reporter and anchor for Southern Urban Network News in Jackson. During that time, she also worked as an associate producer at the local NBC affiliate- WLBT.
In her spare time, Andrea 'LOVES' to travel, meet new people and just relax. Furthermore, she is excited to be in Meridian, and looks forward to more growth with the area's number one news source... Newscenter 11.
